- Advises human resources, legal and technical personnel of companies, colleges and research institutes on work visas for foreign professionals, managers, executives, skilled and unskilled workers.
- Advises employers on complying with employer sanctions aspects of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
- Negotiates with U.S. government officials in the Departments of Labor, Justice, Homeland Security and State on behalf of clients.
- Assists foreign investors with U.S. immigration planning.
- Develops visa strategy for short and long-term U.S. work assignments for key foreign personnel.
- Advises on employee transfers outside the U.S.
- Analyzes U.S. immigration law and policy developments for legislative liaison and advocacy meetings with members of Congress and their staffs.
- Cooperates with industry groups in advocating legislation to members of Congress.
- Advises on family-related immigration matters, citizenship, deportation and exclusion matters.
- Speaks to employer, university and public interest groups on immigration law requirements.
- Advises clients on U.S. import and export regulatory law.
