Lorenzo Trujillo Receives Estrella Award
from Centro San Juan Diego

May 19, 2008

Centro San Juan Diego presented its 2008 Estrella Award to Sherman & Howard attorney Lorenzo A. Trujillo and his wife Ellen Alires Trujillo at its annual Las Madrinas Tribute on May 18. The award honors Mr. Trujillo for helping to establish a monthly community-based legal clinic at the Centro San Juan Diego.

The Las Madrinas Tribute is an event that furthers Centro San Juan Diego's mission of building and supporting the economic and social wellbeing of Spanish-speaking immigrant families through the Bienestar Family Services Program, a ministry of the Denver Archdiocese. The Tribute is to raise funds for the Centro's education program and to honor those individuals in the community who have helped it in its mission. The Estrella Award in particular recognizes individuals for their extraordinary community service work.

Mr. Trujillo is Counsel to the Business & Corporate Practice Group in Sherman & Howard's Denver office, and acts as the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Colorado School of Law.
