Sherman & Howard Welcomes Nine New Associates

Award-winning, Denver-based law firm Sherman & Howard L.L.C. is pleased to announce the addition of eight new Associates to its office in Denver, Colorado, and the addition of one new Associate to its office in Reno, Nevada, during the months of August, September and October.

The Denver Attorneys are: Lynda Atkins, Christian Brann, Haley Burton, Angela Gasperini, Jody Kepler, David Rontal, Teri Scott, and Angie Whitford. The Reno Attorney is Adam Spear.

Lynda Atkins joins the expanding Private Client Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. Her practice will focus on general estate planning and administration. Lynda graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007. Prior to that she clerked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Christian Brann joins the Corporate Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. His practice will involve general corporate and business law and mergers and acquisitions. Chris was a 2007 graduate from Duke University Law School, where he received the Paul B. Williams Scholar award. He clerked at Sherman & Howard in Summer 2006.

Haley Burton joins the Real Estate Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. Her practice will focus on acquisitions and sales, lending and foreclosure transactions and general real estate development. Haley graduated from The University of Wyoming College of Law, where she made the Dean's Honor Roll.

Angela Gasperini also joins the Corporate Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. Her practice will focus on general corporate and business law and mergers and acquisitions. Angela graduated on the Dean's List from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2007. She clerked at the Firm in the Summers of both 2005 and 2006.

Jody Kepler joins the Tax & Probate Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. Her practice will focus on health care regulatory law and general corporate taxation. Jodi received her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver's Graduate Tax Program in 2003, and earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 2001. Prior to joining Sherman & Howard, Jody was in private practice.

David Rontal joins the Public Finance Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. His practice will focus on a variety of municipal bond financings, including general obligation, revenue, and special assessment bonds. David is a graduate of the Northwestern School of Law, where he was on the Dean's List. He was an intern with the U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado and an extern for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.

Teri Scott joins the firm's Corporate Group where she brings to the table 13 years of cable industry experience for the benefit of both the Firm and its cable clients. Her practice will focus primarily on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters affecting the cable industry. Teri graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Angie Whitford joins the Litigation Group at Sherman & Howard's Denver office. Her practice will focus on general civil litigation. Angie graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2007. Prior to that she worked as both a legal assistant and an intern.

Adam Spear joins the Public Finance Group at the Firm's office in Reno, Swendseid & Stern*. His practice will focus on municipal bond financings, including general obligation, revenue, and special assessment bonds. Adam graduated from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 2007, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
