Denver, CO - September, 2006
Matthew J. Hogan, a member in the Public Finance Department of the law firm of Sherman & Howard L.L.C., is the recipient of the September 2006 Minoru Yasui Community Volunteer Award, sponsored by the Denver Foundation. In making this award to Matt, the Foundation cited his tireless work on behalf of children through the Denver Children's Advocacy Center. Matt is currently the president of the board of the Center and has used his substantial public finance law experience to help the Center fund and build a new center for treatment and counseling of children who have been sexually abused.
Throughout his career, Matt has also volunteered at the Denver Children's Museum and served on committees for United Way. He is a current board member and a former president of City Club of Denver.
Volunteers throughout the Denver metropolitan community are recognized through the Minoru Yasui Community Volunteer Award. The award honors men and women who make unique contributions to the community.
