Tobin Kern Joins Sherman & Howard

Tobin D. Kern has recently joined the Litigation Department of Sherman & Howard's Denver office.  Mr. Kern specializes in business litigation and regulatory enforcement, particularly in the areas of banking and financial services, telecommunications, technology and class actions.

Mr. Kern's business litigation practice includes prosecution and defense of claims of breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, trade secrets, breach of contract, trademark infringement, franchise termination, business torts, shareholder rights, consumer rights, securities violations and other business matters.  He has litigated such claims through trial, appeal, arbitration and mediation.  Clients have included Sprint Communications Corp., Liberty Media Corp., FiServ Corp., Wachovia Corp. (formerly Signet Banking Corp.), Vail Resorts, Sequa Corp., Molson Breweries, Citywide Banks, SafeRent, Inc. and others.

Mr. Kern's regulatory enforcement practice includes compliance advice on matters such as operations, licensing, marketing and advertising.  He also represents clients in state and federal government enforcement actions and proceedings before self-regulatory organizations.  Clients have included banks, brokerage firms, technology companies, lawyers and accountants.
