Sherman & Howard's tort claims attorneys have a considerable amount of experience defending employers from the multitude of tort claims that are made by employees and other third parties, such as cases that: accuse employers of making misrepresentation in the hiring process; claim that defamatory reference information was given out about a former employee; allege the electronic surveillance of employees; allege the mishandling of employees' private information; claim to hold employers accountable for the hiring and supervision of employees who later commit dangerous acts; and allege other injuries. We work to prevent spurious injunctions against our clients and to avoid large damage awards. Conversely, at times a client may be threatened with injury, or become injured because of another person or company. In those cases, we vigorously pursue an injunction or damages, taking the course most likely to return our client to pre-injury condition.
