General Governmental Bonds

Sherman & Howard's public finance attorneys provide approving legal opinions for general governmental bonds which finance public infrastructure, such as: governmental buildings; utility facilities; parks and recreation improvements and open space; and transportation improvements and facilities. We act as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter's counsel, and in other capacities as required in financings involving general obligation bonds, sales and/or use tax revenue bonds, excise tax revenue bonds, utility or other enterprise revenue bonds, and bonds secured by various other revenues of an issuer. These transactions involve states, municipalities, counties, school districts, special districts and authorities. We have assisted in the development of the West by providing legal services in connection with general governmental bonds.
